The proprietary blend in our formula consists almost entirely of AHCC®. The remaining ingredients are present only in small amounts as excipients used during production, as AHCC is a naturally hygroscopic ingredient.
AHCC® itself is composed of approximately 50% polysaccharides, including beta-glucans and uniquely cultured acetylated alpha-glucans. About 20% of the total polysaccharide content consists of these specialized alpha-glucans, which are produced through AHCC’s patented fermentation process. This controlled fermentation significantly reduces the molecular weight of the polysaccharides (to approximately 5,000 Daltons), which may support improved absorption compared to traditional mushroom powders, whose polysaccharides are typically much larger in size.
AHCC® is manufactured by Amino Up Co., Ltd. using a proprietary extraction method. The commonly referenced concentration ratio is approximately 20:1, meaning roughly 10 grams of cultured shiitake mycelia are used to produce 500 mg of AHCC extract.
